Official guidelines for Chatly

Chatly Terms of Service

Effective Date: July 16, 2026

Welcome to Chatly, an anonymous chat application developed by Aman Jain ("Developer", "I", "me", or "my").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Chatly, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the application.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Chatly.

By using the application, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to accept these Terms.

2. User Accounts

Chatly uses Google Sign-In through Firebase Authentication for secure account authentication.

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the security of your account.
Keeping your device secure.
All activities performed through your account.

You may not create accounts for fraudulent, abusive, or illegal purposes.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Chatly responsibly and respectfully.

You must NOT:

Harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate other users.
Send hate speech or discriminatory content.
Share sexually explicit or pornographic content.
Share child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploit minors.
Promote violence, terrorism, or criminal activity.
Share illegal drugs, weapons, or prohibited items.
Send spam, scams, phishing links, or malware.
Impersonate another person or organization.
Violate another person's privacy.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Chatly or its infrastructure.
Reverse engineer, copy, or exploit the application without permission.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account.

4. Anonymous Communication

Chatly is designed for anonymous conversations.

Although your Google account is used for authentication, your email address and Google profile information are not displayed to other users unless you choose to share them.

You are solely responsible for the information you share with others.

5. Messages, Media, and Calls

You are responsible for all content you send through Chatly, including:

Messages
Images
Videos
Voice messages
Documents
Voice calls
Video calls

Voice and video calling features are powered by Agora.

Chatly does not record voice or video calls unless a future feature explicitly allows recording with your consent.

6. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of the content you create and share.

By using Chatly, you grant the Developer a limited license to process, store, transmit, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the application's services.

7. Account Suspension and Termination

The Developer reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that:

Violate these Terms.
Violate Community Guidelines.
Abuse or harass other users.
Attempt fraud or impersonation.
Engage in illegal activity.
Threaten the security or stability of the platform.

Termination may occur without prior notice in serious cases.

8. Account Deletion

You may permanently delete your account at any time by navigating to:

Settings → Delete Account

After deletion:

Your profile information will be removed.
Your access to Chatly will end.
Some information may be retained where required by law or for fraud prevention and security purposes.

9. Third-Party Services

Chatly relies on trusted third-party providers, including:

Google Sign-In
Firebase Authentication
Cloud Firestore
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)
Firebase Analytics
Firebase Crashlytics
Cloudinary
Agora

Your use of these services may also be governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

10. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in Chatly, including its design, source code, branding, graphics, logos, and features, remain the property of Aman Jain, except where otherwise stated.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

11. Disclaimer

Chatly is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.

The Developer makes no warranties regarding:

Continuous availability
Error-free operation
Uninterrupted service
Compatibility with every device
Freedom from security vulnerabilities

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

Your use of Chatly.
User-generated content.
Service interruptions.
Data loss.
Unauthorized access.
Third-party services.

Your use of Chatly is entirely at your own risk.

13. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically.

Any changes will become effective immediately after publication within the application or on the official website.

Continued use of Chatly after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
